Hi there! I'm Becki.
the quick & dirty
NYC/Philadelphia based • EMC • Chocolate Chip Cookie Eater
During this time of self-isolation, I'm kickin' it in the Philly 'burbs working on personal and professional development while embracing the opportunity to slow down and rest during this strange time in our world.
The masterclasses from Kate Lumpkin's NoMarking group have really helped me to stay engaged with the theatre community during this time. Classes range from intro to sketch comedy to hip-hop to audition technique to decluttering and redecorating your space, and everything in between!
I'm so looking forward to navigating the digital realm of theatre to play Rosalind in As You Like It, directed by James Cougar Canfield w/ Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival.
This production will be entirely rehearsed and performed digitally and will be available to stream in September 2020!
the less abridged...
I grew up in the suburbs of Philly and am a self-proclaimed middle child (I've got an older sister and a one-minute-younger twin brother, so technically I am!).
Since graduating from Temple University, I've worked all over the country and the globe. Most notably, I was the ASM for the International Centennial Tour of West Side Story. During the 16-month tour, we performed in 26 cities in 18 countries across Europe, Asia, and even New Zealand - from Dublin to Tokyo and everywhere in between!
Recent performing credits include Indecent (Halina), God of Vengeance (Sarah), & The Winter's Tale (Paulina) with Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival, Look Up: Tales of the Sky (Stella) & The Bremen Town Musicians (Harriet the Hound Dog) with Merry-Go-Round Playhouse Youth Theatre (fun fact, I've actually been to Bremen, Germany!) and Once Upon A Flame (Fairytale Characters) with The National Theatre for Children.
I also moonlight as a Stage Manager, and I've SM'd for Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival & The Polar Express w/ Warner Bros. Inc, ASM'd at Bigfork Summer Playhouse & Creede Repertory Theatre, and was an SM Apprentice at Asolo Repertory Theatre.
You can usually find me lost in a book, a museum, or a really good cup of coffee.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope to hear from you soon!
